I can understand if someone doesn't like him but why hate him so much? There are other wrestlers who suck big time like Treveor Murdoch,Snitsky,Cade, the boogeyman, viscera etc. and u never hear people complaining about them. The fans are the reason he is the champ in the first place... remember even as a midcarder on smackdown he would always get the loudest cheers! and thats the time he actually sucked!
But this year...
John Cena's matches on ppv have all been exciting and most of them are contenders for match of the year especially the TLC match against Edge. He is very professional, very entertaining and the biggest merchandise seller in the WWE. C'mon this guy can be bigger than the rock. Cena still gets booed by a few but also gets cheered really loud. People say Cena can't wrestle but if thats the case how comes Hulk Hogan gets cheered. No one can tell me that Cena had a crap match on ppv this year!(Even Cena haters can admit it

For the record I want everyone to know that I support the rock more than Cena. I don't actually think Cena is a good wrestler, he is decent and has exciting matches. When people say he always does the same moves annoys me the most. The moves u always see him do is his 'finnishing sequence'. Almost every wrestler does that, even the great ones. For example when benoit hits 3 german suplexes u know he is going to follow up with a d-headbutt. And after HBK does a clothesline,u know he's going to flip up, manhatton drop, more clotheslines, suplex, elbow drop and then sweet chin music.
Another thing is that I am a young guy I was too young back in the days to see Hogan wrestle. I'm not bothered that Hogan wrestled in Japan. He is the most predictable wrestler ever for 2 reasons. whenever he comes backs u know he's going to win.
No.1 Did u know that at unforgiven 2005 he was supposed to face hbk in a rematch and lose but the match didn't go ahead cos he refused to.

Hogan only comes back when he needs a big pay check or to promote his hot daughter Brooke singing career. Hogan should help WWE by losing to the younger wrestlers so they can become stars.
No.2 Hogan always hulks up in a match, says 'YOU',does punches, hits the big boot and then the leg drop. Afterwards he parades around the ring with poses for about 20 mins and then leaves
Hogan has got alot of charisma but whenever he comes back its not fun anymore.

long term WWE supporters hate him because the belt was just given to him, he couldn't even wrestle at the time. The WWE where so desperate at the time to bring in a new superstar, that they brought in Cena instead of building him up and giving another wrestler who had been with the company a chance.
WWE has become a joke, Vince has concentrated on floging merchandise to 15 year olds rather than the life long wrestling fans, who want to see a good match as opposed to a gimmick act.
All true fans of wrestling have been and will continue to switch to TNA as they have fast paced exciting action. The stars there are allowed to create new and daring moves which make WWE wrestlers look like amateurs.
Look at A J Styles and The Fallen Angel, they are amazing wrestlers and deserve to have a wider audience. It's pathetic that Vince has become so worried that TNA is becoming bigger by the day that he called the police in to perform a drug check on the TNA wrestlers and when they found nothing he had the building condemned. HOW PATHETIC!
This is just like what happen with Nitro and look what happen to them when they tried to leek the plots. Learn from history Vince and listen to the fans, before you p*ss them off one too many times.

EVERY match that Cena has had was crap. Every single stinkin' one of them. He CAN'T WRESTLE, period. He knows a total of FOUR moves, we're supposed to believe that he's good enough to be WWE champion? For over a YEAR? That was all well and good back in the glory days of WWE when Hulk Hogan was in the same spot, but this is 2006. Most of us are looking for something different. And by "most of us," I mean "people who aren't marks or 12 years old." All of his matches are so predictable that it's not even FUNNY. Punch, kick, shoulder tackle, five-knuckle shuffle, FU, STFU, end. How is that exciting? How is that going to keep you on the edge of your seat? Well, it's not, that's how.
It's SO SAD the amount of Cena marks out there is so huge that the guy's been champion so long. Proof positive was the fact that everyone voted for him to fight Coach on Raw a few weeks ago. Nobody wanted to see him WRESTLE a match with Booker T or Big Show, they wanted to see the CHARACTER they didn't like get pretend-beat up. And that's just sad.
Name all of the wrestlers you want who you don't like (and, incidentally, Cade, Murdoch, Snitsky, the Boogeyman and Viscera are ALL better than John Cena for one reason or another), none of them have been champion for the most boring year in WWE history. His character is so stale that it hurts, and he's just shoved down our throats every waking moment that WWE is on TV with entire segments devoted to the generic snooze-fest that is the Marine. Vince McMahon is so high off of all the money that Cena makes him that he doesn't even ACKNOWLEDGE that people out there don't like him. He EDITS THE BOOS out of the TV shows and just shoves even MORE Cena down our throats. And I must say, that doesn't work for me. John Cena is so incredibly boring that I change the channel whenever he's on.
The reason Hulk Hogan doesn't get booed is because he's on TV a total of five times year. He's not the focus of every show, every week. And, you know what? Hulk Hogan CAN wrestle, believe it or not. Watch him work matches in Japan, you'll be blown away. The only reason he never worked like that in the States is because the fans here all dug the entertainment part of wrestling, and he never HAD to put on a good match to get over. Unfortunately, the only people that the WWE makes their money from are the marks who don't actually care about the wrestling, while the rest of us are forced to go to TNA or ROH.
John Cena may very well be "bigger than the Rock." The Rock may very well be a filthy Hollywood sell-out. But, you know what? The Rock was damn entertaining, and could put on a hell of a match, and that's more than anyone can say about John Cena.
How's that?

He is hated because he has been the champ for a REALLY long time and he doesn't deserve to be champ. He can't wrestle in the traditional sense, his script is annoying to no ends, but he sells merchandise to kids which is huge, in Vince M.'s eyes. Same thing with Hogan.
Fans of wrestling the sport will change the channel to TNA before watching the soap opera which is WWE. Fans of wrestling will watch AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle way before Cena.
(Don't take this as a knock on all WWE wrestlers - guys like Edge, HHH and Shawn Micheals are very good. They just get told to push these idiotic storylines and gimmicks.)

Well Jason, i'm probably gonna annoy you as well! But faceit, Cena only has one move the FU and that's it! Did you know that both HBK and Finlay ( who train the divas and younger ones) had to coach him? Some champ!
Plus, he's going the same way as the Rock. Make a movie or 2, bide my time and then scarper for Hollywood. How sad is he to want to fight Mr Britney who has no skill and will have to be taught basics by Shawn & Finlay?
Plus he came out to rescue Maria last week from Umaga! I was looking forward to seeing that brainless bimbo get some sense knocked into her when he showed. GRRR!!
Sure he's professional, entertaining on the mic and sells a few caps. But he'll never capture the imagination of folk like myself who love Taker or Kane or Austin. They have charisma and talent. Cena's a wannabe.

i hate cena so much as they have tried to make him into a stone cold and the rock rolled up in one. his finisher is not a finisher its a glorified slam. the five knuckle shuffle is copied off the peoples elbow only with his knuckles. the way he overcomes all the odds is just what stone cold done only stone cold done it with a bit of style against better oppenents. cena has had a rivalry which is thankfully over with the rated r superstar which was a shite rivalry he should be nothing more than the united states champion!! Peace out !! Break It Down

Cena jogs my memory of a mixture of Stone chilly and the Rock, He lacks genuine technical skill so he will under no circumstances be a Bret Hart or Chris Benoit style of wrestler. He does although be attentive to a thank you to do a number of slams and does place self assurance in difficulty-unfastened strikes for pops, and alot of you haters possibly do no longer remember 2002-2005 time of John Cena, his feuds with Brock Lesnar, vast prepare, Kurt attitude, Jericho, you boo him for no longer something. You forget why you dont even like him. yet once you do in comparison to his in ring form, then you definately're loopy.

Well Bug, I just wanna say your research suxs! It has got no fact just emotional rantings, Do you even know Cena was a heel before he became a face? No you wouldn't know that, See all his matches in which he gets owned by Undertaker and HHH but just finds a way to win. Is that wrestling?? No, his popularity isn't what it was and technically ask any person wrestling whether FU or That you cant see me crap is enough for a pinfall. To you he is just an idol and guys don't hate him cause of looks, We think he is a g** that all.

he has alot of energy and thats how he wins over alot of fans but it is true he dosnt have alot of moves. and dude the FU SUCKS MAJOR BALLS. It hits with the power of a suplex. No one believes that move can finish someone off. Sweet Chin Music, 5 star frogsplash, and the RKO are finishers that arent weak as hell and bring the crowd to there feet.

I don't hate Cena but I don't like him either. It's nothing personally. When you watch sports everyone has an opinion. For example I don't like the Dallas Cowboys and I don't even watch football any more but when my son says that they won a game it's like ugh. What fun is watching a sport if you like everyone. To tell you the truth I don't even remember why I don't like him. It probably has something to do with whoever he was opposing whenever he first came out. But if it makes you feel better I don't like Murdock, Snitsky, Cade or Viscera. However I can't get enough of Boogeyman because he is disgusting. Sick huh but that's why I like him.

Hey, now that you're saying this, I kind of understand something now. Why do I really hate John Cena? I guess I just hated John Cena, because everyone else did. I do remember, when he was a midcarder on SmackDown!. When he was winning only the U.S. titles, I was always cheering him on. He was even my favorite wrestler then. Then he won the WWE championship. I was so glad, and I thought he would stay my favorite guy. Then, he was drafted to RAW. I can't watch RAW, because of no cable. Then, I started to lose interest in him. Then, when everyone else said they hated him, I started to too. But now that you have said this, he is once again my favorite.
Also, I used to say "John Cena can't rap!" only because that's what everyone said. I don't know why I said this. I HAVE HIS CD! Come On! I love him. Thank you.
