(-6/7)(3/8)= -18/56 = -9/28
you multiply numerator x numerator and denominator x denominator

1 1/4 is the same as 5/4
-3 5/6 is the same as -23/6

in order to add these two, you have to come up with like denominator. both 4 and 6 are factors of 12.

so convert 5/4 to 15/12
and convert -23/6 to -46/12

now you can add 15/12 + -46/12 = -31/12, or 2 7/12

one million)initially in any difficulty like this you'll be able to desire to have the comparable denominator (the quantity on the backside of the fraction) on the two fractions. to try this you'll be able to desire to locate the backside problem-unfastened denominator which could be 12 for this reason. so which you multiply the acceptable and backside numbers of each and every fraction so as that the backside quantity equals 12. so in view that 4 x 3 = 12, 3 x 3 = 9. so its 9 over 12. the different fraction. 3 x 4 = 12 and a couple of x 4 = 8 so its 8 over 12. so all of it equals 9/12 - 8/12. here you may merely subtract the numerators on acceptable getting one million/12 that's your very final answer. 2) by making use of doing the comparable concern in question one million you get 5/40 and 24/40. in view that there is an entire quantity you may turn the entire quantity right into a fragment by making use of multiplying the entire quantity with the hot denominator (40) and including it to the numerator. so its 240/40 + 5/40 = 245/40 = 245/40 - 104/40 = 141/40 by making use of simplifying you get 3 21/40

(-6/7)x(3/8)=(-9/28) and you are 100% correct
(1 1/4) +(-3 5/6)=(5/4)-(23/6)=(15/12)-(46/12)=-31/12=-2 7/12 and I am afraid that you are not correct this time
