A wife is indeed regarded as life to live but not knife to kill as you are asking. The reason being that wife is an independent human being who has right to enjoy life. Wife should be treated as a life partner, she should feel that she is also part of the family. Her views should be considered or she should be part of decision making in the family or relationship but where a wife will see that she is been neglected as a wife, husband cheating on her, beating her with no apparent reason, she is not been loved,if husband lies to her, then she becomes angry and that is where a wife can turn to be a knife to kill in order to satisfy her human right or her freedom in life. Because Bible wants a husband to treat wife with all respect and care since wife is the weaker sex, so when husband mistreated his wife then she becomes aggressive ,because she knew that you are taking an advantage of her weakness to treat her like that.

Depends. If the husband is like the "sheath" for the knife then the wife can be the knife . Together they can defend themselves against evils. What can can a knfie expect except to be cozy and comfortable within the sheath?

If husbands have tongues , sharper than the knife then , at some point or the other the wife will have to use some equivalent sharp objects.

Wife.... knife .. except that it rhymes there is no comparison whatsoever

Life to live - be positive! Why else did you marry her in the first place? Be happy with what you have and not what you have not. It is your sole option to do so. Remember that the grass seems always greener at the other side of fence, but it is really NOT. Learn to make the best of what you have. As the sages say: "Make a lemonade from your lemon."

Wife is regarded as life when you love her truely from heart and mind....so she becomes your life in every second.

And the same is regarded as life when you pretend and act oversmartly uning only brain...but not heart..... she is regarded as knife...which can cut to the core level.

If you have a sharp edge that you hurt others with, you will marry a knife but if you have a heart full of love and hope, you will marry your life.
