The past 2 days my nipples have been really tender, what could be the possible reasons for this?

caffiene can make breasts and nipples tender, so can the onset of you period.

Probably your hormones, which could indicate pregnancy if you have had un-protected sex especially in the middle of your cycle. That is when ovulation occurs. Only you know!
It could just be your period is due. Lots of women experience this and there has to be a first time for all. If everything else is normal wait till after your period and see what happens next time!
Tenderness in the breasts is not a symptom of a serious problem usually so dont worry! If concerned still see your Doctor!

Where abouts are you in the cycle?> If you are near on a week from having your period then that could be a symptom of pms or on the other hand it could be pregnancy.
The pregnancy side of it only u will know but nipple and breast tenderness is very common just before your period is due.

You are either pregnant or getting ready to start your period or an irritation from clothes. Most likely it's hormonal.
My nipples get that way right before AF comes.
