i am in love from last 5 years . now when i told this to my paents they say WAY OF LIVING does not match ours...so forget him??? what should i do? they r not ready to meet him.

The only thing that you can do is give them time and say that he is very nice and that you would like it if they would at least meet him. Perhaps your parents are angry about that fact that you have only let them know now and you have like this guy for 5 years. Is he from a very different culture to you and if you were with him would you have to change the way that you live. If so this could be a problem for your parents because they are scared that you will lose your current values. However you need to explain to them that they have taught you well and that you will never lose your cultural values and you will never stop believing in what they have told you. Have you told your boyfriend/ love what your parents have said and what does he say about it. Also what do his parents think about you?
I think that you will have to arrange a meeting between your love and your parents as it’s the only way, hopefully after meeting him they might change their views

if the relationship has been up to 5 years, that seem the two of you will make a better couple. your parents advice might be right if they give you geniune reason why they dont want you to marry your luv. but if no geniune reason, discuss it out with them, introduce you guy to them, with time they may understand your plight

parents or ur your bf????
but if you don't want to choose then you should have the convincing power so that your parents will eventually accept your bf....give them time to think about it..if you're really for each other then you will be together whatever hindrances come yur way.......its just to test how strong is your relationship.......you don't have to sacrifice your relationship just because of your parents.......i hope they will understand you....

try to discuss it again with your parents but whatever happens do not lose your family for anyone coz they r the ones who really care about you and want the best for you

tell your parents that the man you love is also in love with you and he is ready for formal marriage. convince your parents
