You are looking at about 4 to 6 oz PER feeding.
The baby will let you know when he is hungry.
It is better to breastfeed though, it builds the immune system and the baby will be much healthier than if you feed him formula.

Something like this will vary slightly from baby to baby. At that age, my baby would consume roughly 2-3.5 ounces every feeding, which was every three hours. (I know this because I had to pump instead of nurse.)
And it would be the same with formula.
If you're concerned about how much your baby is getting, don't worry! As long as they seem fine, and they're gaining weight, that's what matters. When my baby was that age and he cried, the first thing I would do was offer him a bottle. So if that wasn't what was bothering him, I could rule out hunger. It led to very good weight gain, according to my pediatrician. :o)
Good luck!
(4 to 6 ounces per feeding?! Is she CRAZY?! There's no way a 7 week old baby will be eating that much!! Ask any pediatrician!!)

I believe my daughter was taking 2-4 oz, though she was a preemie. Breast milk and formula will not be the same. I made a few mistakes some times of trying to give my daughter formula. Her stomach could not digest it as easily. So, if you are going to intermix the formula and breast milk, give less formula, since it is thicker and more dense, and give it to your baby during the day or a time when you feel like cleaning and changing your baby and/or you. Also, some helpful info. that was passed on to me. If you want to switch from giving your baby expressed breast milk to formula, slowly add a little formula to the breast milk to get them acclimated to the difference. Also, soy formula is easier on their stomachs for them to digest during the transitions.

There is a milk calculator at the link below that will help you figure out how much breastmilk to put into a bottle.

If you are breastfeeding there is no way to measure how much the baby has, but it is safe to say that they baby keeps feeding until it is full, therefore you don't have anythiing to worry about.
