I read in the papers over the weekend that the actor dessie grantham "he played dirty ben in coronation st" shot a french taxi driver back in the 60's when he was in the navy, Is it true? can anyone shed any light on this? He is my favourite actor on any british soap. I never missed an episode when he was in it, particularly loved the fights/arguments with ben and the missus bet lynch.

Leslie Grantham was on the Jeremy Kyle show confessing all, like just saying sorry made it all OK!
I heard he was in the army in Germany when he killed a guy.
Have no idea about the Grantham you are talking about!
