When cutting and sewing burn out velvet, how do you keep it from curling?

What do sewing factories use to keep the velvet from curling in order to make production quotas?

I would possibly spray with a starch and iron over with a cloth, then overlock the edges!!

use an iron-on interfacing that you tear-away after you've finished, or use a light-weight iron-on interfacing that can remain on the cut work after it's finished. hope this was helpful. ;)
