A reliable one. Otherwise you are bound to gain weight although not permanently. Being serious, a coil. The Mirena is very good because it more or less stops all bleeding No protection from HIV though.

ya know I would have to tell you to use what Im using and its getting popular every year. Its called NuvaRing and its a little ring that you stick up in there and it stays there for 3 weeks on the 4th week you remove it and during that week you get your period. At the end of the week you put it back in.

I have had no weight gain from the birth control itself... I was on Depo and gained a grip of weight. Also been on the pill.

I really like this one tho cuz I dont have to remember to take a pill, and if your worried if your partner will feel it when you have intercourse, most can but it does not bother them, with some it auctually makes it better... let me know what you chose to go with! and I hope all works out for you

It really depends on your own body and how it works, but I'm going to say IUD. Unlike the depo shot that can have some irritating side effects, and the pill with it's own side effects and weight gain, an IUD is fairly basic. Insertion is simple and pain free (only mildly uncomfortable, but no worse than a pap exam). An IUD is good for 10 years, is just as reliable as the pill, has no day to day maintenance and is really one of the simplest and easiest forms of contraceptives that exist.

It is the mixture of hormones in the pill, injection and implant that causes the weight gain. I have got the non-hormonal coil (IUD) and have not had any problems with it. You carry on having periods as normal, and they can last 3-10 years depending which one you have put in. But it will not protect you against STDs so unless you are in a long-term trusted relationship, still use a condom.

The weight gain is caused by changes in your hormonal setup. To avoid it u shd use something that doesn't affect your hormones. Avoid the pill, the "No-Plant" etc. U may use the following:

Intra Uterine Device (the loop) - inserted into your thingy

The diaphram (a cap that's also inserted into yo p*ssy)

Withdrawal method - not recommended, highly risky but low cost

Timing method - apparently there are certain stages in yo cycle where u cant reproduce

Abstinence - he he he, u dont sound like u'll want this one

some techniques spring to innovations: estrogen-in basic terms pill. it incredibly works only like a blended pill, yet incorporates no progesterone, so weight income would desire to not take place. additionally you do not ought to stick this kind of rigorous dosing time table. The Nuva Ring. that's a blended hormone approach, however the dosing is quite low. the hoop sits in the vaginal vault around the cervical neck. The hormones are precisely the place they might desire to be to inhibit ovulation. that's amazingly effectual. yet another determination could be to objective a woman barrier approach such because of the fact the diaphragm, cervical cap or a greater present day version stated as Lea's look after. All would want for use with spermicide. blended with fertility information and proper utilization, they could be VERY effectual (the look after touts a greater than ninety% efficacy value). the dazzling one i will think of of is Mirena IUS. comparable in concept to a copper IUD, it incorporates progesterone so on occasion it truthfully makes classes lighter and specially circumstances stops all of them mutually. i won't be able to even though heavily advise it when you consider which you had a bad adventure with your IUD (and that i had a bad time with the two hormonal and non IUDs). you should talk those and different techniques with your wellbeing practitioner.

Anything that messes w/ your hormones will cause you to gain weight. So look towards methods that do not hinder your hormones. If you are in a monogamous relationship, or basically married w/o the legal documents, people still do withdrawal. I heard it's 98 to 99 % effective when done right but every method entails that.
