I find it sad that so many women risk their lives for non-life threatening surgery and spend a fortune in the process.. I can understand why they do it - in order to feel they say more normal/feminine/sexy or whatever but here is the point, if we had grown up on a desert island then none of these women would feel inadequate as they were..
Therefore is it not the cultural definition of what is normal that is at fault and not nature and natural/healthy but small breasts!? Larger breasts have not universally been desirable so it cannot be an innate phenomenon - for example, aristocracts in the 19th century often binded their breasts to appear as flat chested as possible because larger breasts were associated with lower classes/wet nurses etc and also Asian women who are naturally smaller chested do not have to conform to the arian page 3 type narrowly defined form.

If large breasted are deemed most feminine then why in most male magazines fhm, loaded and the like are they coupled with the most skinny.boyish UN-FEMININE hips/waist etc? It is an anomaly.. if one was to cover the face of every model in these mags then it would be impossible to tell which body belongs to whom because they are virtually all the same.. so the cartoon breast/boyish-androgenous hips is another ????

I couldn't agree more! Let's not interfere with nature but let's show girls we love them for who they are.

Hi, I wanted to tell you about my experience with the CurvyBust cream. I'm 24 years old and I've spent pretty much my whole life wishing I had slightly larger breasts. I'm normally a size A, I'd love to be a size B, especially when I wear certain kinds of low cut tops. I have a good figure, and I like what I have, but every now and then I would like a little bit more. Even if I had the money, (which I don't because I am a college student with loans to pay off), I would never consider going under the knife just to go up 1 cup size. So that's been my dilemma.
I found out about curvybust cream when I was flipping through (Yahoo Answers). To be honest with you, I'm not the type of girl who would consider spending money on a cream that promises to increase breast size. It just seems like an impossible thing to claim. But there were three reasons that I decided to go for it:
1) I contacted them via their website because I had a question about the cream being OK for sensitive skin (which it is, because it is made of natural botanical ingredients.)
2) I was really impressed by their customer service and willingness to explain everything to me. 3) They offered me a free 12 day supply with no obligation, (I just had to pay the shipping costs- I wasn't too thrilled with that but it was still worth it to get the free product).
Well, it's actually working! There is a noticeable difference in the size of my breasts! It's only been 10 days, and they say that the true final results won't appear until about the 4-6 month time frame, but based on what I can see, (and what my boyfriend can feel) there's definitely a difference. My breasts are standing out more, and they are fuller and rounder. Sometimes I am able to go out without a bra, now I can't. And I have a feeling that I might have to actually buy new bras if the growth continues. I'm looking forward to seeing how the next month goes. There might actually be a size B in my future! Woohoo!

As General Anesthesia is always a risk even for common (minor) procedures I too wonder why people take the risk!
Being in proportion looks far nicer. I know as I've been Big- busted for my size and wore clothes to hide it. Now after 3 kids I still have breasts but I'm in proportion and men friends all say I look better.
My husband calls models 'Barbies' and he isn't being nice!
The only people who should have surgery are those who for whatever reason are Flat - chested. I mean FLAT! If they can afford to give away that type of money there are charities willing to take it. Better than lining the pockets of already well-off Surgeons1

I do agree with what you say to a certain extent.
I don't actually disagree with breast augmentation if done for the right reasons......it is no different from any other type of plastic surgery, ie tummy tucks, rhinoplasty, facelifts and liposcution.
Some women feel very insecure about having smaller breasts or they may feel disproportionate if they have larger hips. What I think some people fail to understand is that breast augmention is not about having as large breasts as possible, but about having breasts that are proportionate to the rest of the body. Glamour models tend to give breast augmentation a bad name, by having their breasts inflated to ridiculous proportions, when in reality you can expect to increase one or two cup sizes in a standard breast augmentation operation.
I don't think huge breast implants coupled with an androgenous figure is in any way attractive or appealling and I do think that no women should be made to feel inadequate about her breast size, ie stupid comment above about 90% of men wanting large breasts. This is a random assumption and quite absurd. I think it can be agreed that most men like pert breasts that are an attractive shape, regardless of their size.

The fashionable size of breasts changes from era to era. In the early 1960's it was fashionable for women to have large breasts and women used to wear push-up bras to emphaisise their size. Then the Twiggy era of small breasts occurred, so women with large breasts used to minimise them.
Now the tide has turned back again. Instead of having surgery, women should just accept their own bodies.

It is avery stupid and I've never understood it. But then, I've never had the problem. What about large chested woman who want breast reductions?
I have two daughters - one has dead straight glossy black hair and the other is blonde with curls. They both hate their hair. What we haven't got, we want. It's our own insecurities that come out.
By the way, it always amazes me how these same women who place such value on their large breasts, are often the first to condemn breast feeding as distasteful.

Agree. It's a sad thing when the natural beauty of the female form is dictated by a bunch of men on Madison Avenue.

It also used to be fashionable to look very white in Europe. You can't hark back to old fashions.
