I lost my 6 year old son 6 years ago. I was in love with a man who was murdered. I live in constant fear that I will die alone and unloved (which I feel alone most of the time). There are so many hard things I am currently going through but not a lot anyone can do

While I was serving in Iraq I lost both my parents in a car accident. A few weeks later I was injured in a IED explosion which almost crippled me. I spent the next 6 months in a hospital bed in Germany learning how to walk again. After I was medically discharged I returned home to empty house with no parents. I spent the following months trying to find a job, organize my parents finances, and deal with my physical disability. I still have nightmares from Iraq and sleep only 3 or 4 hours a night. Since I have no relatives or siblings I have been forced to deal with my situation alone. I've become distant from my friends and find myself suffering from depression. However, I take one day at a time, that's all I can ask. I only hope the future will get better.

I've found that those things which are the hardest to deal with in life are things I wouldn't be able to put on the Internet. I've asked myself why because they've been loss or grief and certainly nothing I'd think someone should feel "private" about, and yet it is the things I am not capable of winning over that I guess, maybe, I'm kind of ashamed of (even though I shouldn't be).
Also, though, when the awful thing is so big it requires a super-human fight to get through it, it can seem that unless one makes a "secret friend" of "fight" and commits to it, it can seem as if sharing one's fight could water it down.

Sometimes the saying is true. Life is a B*TCH! But no matter how insensitive it sounds, you have to deal with it.
I was sexually assaulted twice and I feel that a little part of me is lost because of these incidents. However, I try to focus on the future and think about all the things that I want to accomplish. The only way anyone can achieve these things is to stay positive and fight the good fight!
Good luck and keep on keepin' on!

For one I think that's kinda mean especially if there is somebody hurting, needs a friend you know but in answer to your first part life can not hurt you you get out of life what you put into it, second birds do not fly backwards to see where they have been they always look ahead, something hard I am sure everyybody nowadays is going thru something hard that is what life is about

life hurts when we have something bad happening to us. we can either face the trials with courage or just leave those circumstances to have its way in our lives. things happen but a positive attitude can change the way we view our life. circumstances are meeting places where you can grow not places from which you will have to run away from.
