A much more common problem than people know.
A lot of men have very tight skins there and, when in this position, can actually start to swell up. Surgical intervention is then needed.
Really, swallow your pride and go to the doctor. They won't laugh as they'll know about it, have seen it before and will be focused on doing their job. They can give you more detailed advice for you 'case'.

What you describe sounds like paraphimosis where once retracted behind the glans, the foreskin opening is too narrow/tight to allow it to be pulled back over the glans easily. You're technically okay if the glans is only red and not too swollen, that means that there's still blood flow to it. If it gets very swollen or turns dark purple and begins to hurt, seek medical attention immediately.

What you should try to do to relieve the pressure and pull your foreskin back over the glans is to gently squeeze the glans to make it "smaller" and at the same time pull the foreskin over it. Not having an erection is rather essential, and ice or cold water can help too. Just gentle and consistent pressure on the glans to, in a sense, force it back under the glans may take a few minutes. In your situation it doesn't sound much more severe than that, so that solution should work.

If you can't get this technique to work, see medical attention for help. Sometimes surgical intervention is necessary, though not necessarily to the point of a circumcision.

In the future to avoid this happening again, you could try a stretching exercise to rectify a tight/narrow foreskin opening. Simply take two fingers and stretch the opening of the foreskin as far as it'll go without pain (like increasing its radius) by hooking a finger on either side. This may take a few tries to get right, but do this for a few minutes each day and after a few weeks to a month. Then your foreskin opening should be large enough so that you can retract it fully and pull it back without incidence.

Also, when it does become fully retractable, be sure to wash the glans and the area under the foreskin with water and mild soap whenever you take a shwer.

Hey
Sounds like you have a tight foreskin that won't normally retract. this is a problem that ultimately needs to be dealt with.

BUT your more immediate problem is your foreskin is now caught behind the glans/head and won't return to it's normal position (covering the head). The easy way to do this is to use a couple or three fingers on one hand to squeeze the head. This will expel the excess blood and decrease it's size temporarily so you can use your other hand to pull the foreskin back into place. If that doesn't work easily, go to the kitchen and get some vegetable oil to smear all over the glans and as much of your foreskin as possible. Once it is all nice and slippery try again. And when you are done, jump into the shower so you can get everything well cleaned, rinsed and dried.

If it won't return to it's normal position even with the oil, then get your penis to the emergency room and a doctor will do it for you.

Either way, once your foreskin is back where it belongs, you need to learn to stretch it a couple times a day to loosen it up and make it so it will slide more easily up and down over the head. There are several sites that explain this; a couple are below:

I was going to email you this but your emailer isnt enabled, so I have answered it here.

You may need to see your doctor because this may be serious. You must have a tight foreskin and getting it stuck behind the head can be a serious condition if not treated.

Do not get an erection again... until you see a doctor. I am being serious!!

You are stopping blood to the glans which is BAD!! Go see you doctor please.... RIGHT AWAY!!!

I did get it stuck once and I panicked badly. I have a tight foreskin also and the technique I used to get the foreskin return was this:

This is hard to explain...

Firstly grab the skin and pull it fowards towards the head as much as you can. You may not be able to pull the foreskin away, but what you doing is creating some space.

On one side of the skin, grab and pull the inner side and reapeat until you see the tip of the foreskin. Reapeat the other side and you should have your foreskin returned.

If you email me and send me your email address, I will be more than happy to draw this example. (its a drawing, not a real photo lol)

I am only trying to help.

Please see your doctor!!!

but apparently this thing is hereditary... I believe that at least 1% of men suffer from this too so your not alone...

And dont listen to the bunch of f*ckwitt Kn*ob j*ckies... they insult when they dont know what the answer is (geesh anything for two points ey)

If you simply will not go to the doctors!!!.

Run yourself a warm bath and soak in it for a while now give the end of your penis a good firm squeeze to reduce the blood flow into it...yep it is going to be sore but you must get rid of the gorging...now try to push you foreskin back over it.

This should have been done last night....now if this does not work you must go to the doctors because eventually the end of you penis will get so big and painfull that you will risk having permanant damage.

The important thing also is to stop yourself getting any form of a hard on at the moment...so keep thinking gangrene penis gangrene penis.

I hope the bath treatment works...if not get yourself to the Doctors.....and keep thinking gangrene penis gangrene penis.
Please let us know how you get on.

Erectile Dysfunction can be devastating to men, and unfortunately, millions of men suffer from the condition. Learn how to cure erectile dysfunction https://tr.im/4WoPC

If you go to the doctor to talk about the issue, you’re likely to get put on one or more of the popular medications used to treat the condition. While they can be effective (temporarily), these medications come with a raft of side effects, some of which are decidedly unpleasant. Even worse, these medications aren’t really a cure, they’re more like a temporary workaround.

Worst of all, they tend to be really expensive. Month after month, you’re having to pay to work around your condition. That’s what the Big Pharmaceutical companies want.

I'm so sorry, how awful.

I agree with the others who say have a bath and try gentle movement. After this try cold compress and lubricant -

But you should really see doc if this is not resolved soon!

Dont panic - but a guy pal of mine had this problem and it turned out to be an infection of an intimate nature.

Get a bottle of baby oil pull the skin back as far as it will go without being to sore put loads of oil on. Don't try to pull it forward to quickly move it around, shake it,work it in. then lift the skin put a finger under it and role it forward. This doesn't mean the skin is to tight it simply could mean it hasn't been worked enough. Once it gets into a nice wet ***** instead of your hand it will start to work fine.

This is a common problem that you need to deal with immediately. To get it back, you need to put a cold compress (cloth soaked in very cold water) round it, and squeeze the swelling down. Then you should be able to get the foreskin forward again. If your foreskin is very tight, then look on the web for further advice or go and see the doctor, who will be familiar with the problem.
