My mobo croaked. However everything else is fine such as my HDD, RAM, and everything else.

While I could get a motherboard compatable with my current cpu (old socket A) I wanted to just upgrade in that area to a new cpu and mobo that will work with the rest of my hardware.

I have a new mobo and cpu chosen, HOWEVER, I am wondering how easy it will be , IF POSSIBLE, to use my existing installaton on my HDD. Im pretty sure there will be conflicts in the device manager for example with the hardware. Will things even boot up? Can I even get into safe mode after changing such important hardware?

Or are things like CPU and MOBO set in stone at the time of OS installation.

Thanks in advance!

It is likely that you will blue screen as the mobo drivers won't be installed for any new mobo you put in unless it is the same board however if this does happen it is a simple matter to reinstall the operating system and this doesn't mean you will lose your data as long as you just reinstall the operating system only and don't reformat/repartition the hard drive. If you do that you will lose any data on the hard drive.

From what I understand... a new motherboard will require a reinstallation of the OS. For windows that could just mean installing again and replacing the current install. This could cause some major problems though. My suggestion would be to back up your data, try just re-installing windows, and if that doesnt work then formating the HDD and then install the OS. I think that is is possible to save the HDD with the OS but very improbable.

Well, you can reuse your HDD. CPU...check the manufacturers website for that info. I had an ASUS P4C800 and it took a dump, bought a similar Abit and just moved all the hardware into the old case.

And no, Windows should recognize anything new you install all by itself. Might be a good idea though to back up your files then reformat to make sure your registry is clean and nothing is sweeter than a fresh install. Good luck. :)

This is not a E machine is it? I tried to replace my sisters MoBo in her E machine and I had reload windows xp because the original XP that came with it will only work with the MoBo it came with. It might work but most likely you will have to reload, I would anyway unless you recently did.

No, you should settle for Him because of the fact the Son of God, which ability he's God in flesh. inspect this passage: Luke 23:40-40 3 however the different, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even worry God, seeing you're decrease than a similar condemnation? John 5:18 states: 18For this reason the Jews tried each and all of the greater durable to kill him; not in basic terms grew to become into he breaking the Sabbath, yet he grew to become into even calling God his own Father, making himself equivalent with God. this is clean that the early followers of Christ believed that Christ grew to become into God in flesh or a minimum of in some why shape or form a hundred% equivalent with God. whether you inspect Christ being nailed on a go. This grew to become right into a curse to Jewish people and that they have got been to grant their existence for yet another Jew - yet yet they for sure gave Him over - Why? because of the fact it grew to become into lawful to convict to death on the go one which claimed to be God. that's why that they had no issue with it. Even Peter's Church , which we nonetheless comprehend the region has imprinted on the partitions the worshipof Christ as God or Diety. So no, you won't be able to settle for Christ with out quite accepting who he's, and that's God in flesh. we live in an age the place we haven't any issue re-defining christianity and what it ability to be christian, yet neither the way nor the Diety of Christ has replaced. and that's inspite of denomination nor age.
