we had the sky system changed a few months ago. asking for a new box to have separate channels in two rooms. that can be done they told us. we'll get an engineer along. on the first visit he brought the wrong box. however he fitted it, and took our old box away and we got an apology over the phone for the inconvenience. another engineer called who brought the right box for the system to work right, or so we thought. they took away our old box at out request. but also our cards for the new boxes which did appear to work. we would point out that we have only one telephone number. now this is the intersting bit. sky sent us a letter saying we had two telephone lines and we needed to contact them. i wrote saying we only had one line and would they come and take uninstall us. the response to take an extra £20 on the bank direct debit. they would not believe what we said. im a pensioner and £20 is a lot of money. they said we had three boxes and they did not listen to any explanation given

go to the citizens advice bureau and get advice from them, it sounds like they aren't doing their job properly they should at least have the curtosy to listen to you or come out and see for themselves before calling you a liar which is basically what they are doing don't pay them anymore money until you have got advice from the citizens advice bureau take along with you any bills or other paperwork you have from sky and let them see it they should be able to help you and good luck,i was going to get sky but i don't think i'll bother now after hearing that story!

Another example of a company who's customer service is not up to what it should be.

Thankfully I have never had this type of problem with them, but it sounds very similar to the stories that used to be on 'Thats Life' about brittish gas. I wonder if they have employed their old staff?

I hope you get it sorted out soon.

Ive heard from people before that they have had problems with sky tv and nothing has been done about it, apparently they have a really bad rep for customer service!
