Does it turn off completely or go into idle mode? It is probably in settings and system idle. Many computers are set from the factory to go to idle if no action happens for a set period of time.
Start, Settings, Internet Options etc.

If it turns off when you do not touch it, it is just hibernating. You can always turn that off. Just right clink on your Desktop and tp to "Screen Saver" and adjust the power save options.
