I believe what happened was the repudiation of George Bush. This was because most Americans do not know much about politics. They care little about democracy in other countrys. They do understand that their children are getting killed in Iraq. I would say that most Americans do watch the news every night before they go to bed. President Bush is being portrayed as a murderer every night on liberal TV. They are given the illusion that your President of the United States has an IQ of a retard. They do not care if genocide is happening in other countries, if their child has a chance to die in the military. The economy is doing great, and everyone has a job so the economy is not an issue to them. I believe that the liberal media, liberal polls, and lack of patriotism because of this liberalism has caused the voters to inch closer to these centrist politicians. I just hope that the new politicians stay being anti-globalist and economically populist instead of falling off of the left side. I know all of this because I live in the normal world, really close to the lower class, where most people are treading water to get to the top. Where people do not have time for politics, and where a 1 or 2 thousand dollar tax cut means weather or not they will be able to afford medicine or insurance. Do I sound crazy or if this doesn’t make any sense let me know.......

The Democrats didn't win, the Republicans Lost. Basically, US cits were pissed at Bush, pissed at the War, and pissed at Republicans in general with all the bloody scandals of late. So they just voted for the other guy.

Probably a whole lot of nothing. I suspect that numerous representatives were not even present.
