how does the media portray man in ads?

I am doing a research paper on gender in ads. i need help with how we see man in ads and what we think. so if you can please help me with any websites with info or just your opinion i would really appriciate it. thanks.

Most ads portray women as Supermodels, and men as playboy/studs...

either young, rich and sexy, or over 40 and sexually disfunctional. neither of which fits 99% of the population.
