Time travel is indeed possible, tho not with our current level of technology. But even if it were and if you could go back in time, you would be messing with the timeline of history the way we know it. This was illustrated perfectly in the sequel to Back to the Future I. Even if you just wanted to go back and check things out, you cant have ANY contact with the people around you, because even your presence can distort history in ways that we cannot even begin to imagine. Personally, I would rather go into the future because it hasn't happened yet and so, there is less risk. But, if you went ahead to see who won the 2012 world series of baseball, you dont have any assurance that, that team would win again. Because again, the future hasn't been written yet, so we can make it what ever we want it to be. And think about it, even if it were possible, would you really want to knowing the risks, what if the Romans destroyed your time machine? I wouldnt want to time travel because its too risky and there are too many ways to seriously mess things up.

I have traveled forward while creating , of all things, Christmas ornaments to be given to the grandchildren at each of the successive Christmases. I kept envisioning what they would be like. It was a very enlightening experience of imagination. And, you can travel back in memory alone or aided by self-hypnosis or very simply, by reading letters and journals.
I would like actual time travel to be possible, but I don't think we will be able to do that.

I don't think time travel is possible yet, we just don't have the technology at this time. probably in100yrs time we probably will. but if it was available i would love to travel back to the early 1900's to see how people lived back then. I think it would be fascinating.

actually can be possible on the principle that vision is caused due to reflecti0on of light from various objects and it's speed
if we travel very than lights speed in backward direction we can go back in time and in forward direction we can go forward in time
example

i'm holding a chalk at position 2 and u see it(position 1 when it was in my hand and 3 on a table)if u travel with lights speed in backward direction u may reach position 1and if go in forward dirction u may reach position 3

I've been traveling through time my entire life. I can only go forward through time, though, at about the rate of 24 hours a day.

time travel is one of many thing that is still mysterious. some of genius man think that we could go back to the past and go to the future. but, in my opinion, the true time travel is our live. all the thing we did are part of time travel itself. past is just our experience and future is just our imagination. the truly time is present. : )

Time machines might only be available in the movies, yet many people have experienced unexplained events that seem to be temporary but very real slips into the past and the future

No, not in the way people always think of it. We are always traveling through time. We are always going forward in time. You can never go backwards in time.
