If you tried real hard you MIGHT word your "question" so that it's a little more vague.

I take it you are refering to the earth was created in 7 days ?

Well the bible never tells us how long a DAY is to God and even then we have no clue how long adam and eve were in the garden of Eden
Also carbon dating is a science with nothing to compare too, we cant know how carbon really breaks down over long periods of time, why ? cause we werent there.
There are many instances in which items were redated even after carbon dating had proved them to be a different time. Ask any scientist, they will tell you the same i just told you.
BUT carbon dating is a great way to put things on a time frame and give perspective.

As the theorys of evolution and humans being supposedly over 6 millions years old, well this is very debated, and even Darwin said he never meant for his theories to replace God, and the Bible doesnt ever say things Dont evolve :)

hope this solves some curiosity

Maybe Albert Einstein can answer that.

He said, "Time and space are modes in which we think, and not conditions in which we live".

God is not bound by the same natural laws as us. The bible says that, "With the Lord, a thousand years is as a day, and a day is as a thousand years".

In other words, time is not the same in spiritual realms as it is in our natural environment. People who have had "near death" or after-life experiences all agree that time does not exist on the other side. They could not tell the difference between one second and ten years. There was no difference. That is called "eternity".
You'll see when you cross over.

While we are here in human form, we are bound by the illusion that time exists.

The universe is only a very brief flash. It is nothing. It is all "Maya" or illusion. That includes time.

Thank God!

No one knows for sure how old the universe is.

Any source that claims to know is just stating a theory. It's all just guessing.

That is why the claimed age of the Earth has changed in the past 50 years about a dozen times.

The Earth was only tens of millions of years old 50 years ago....now its in the trillions. Its all silly theories.

I can tell you one thing though....

God made the universe...and therefore he is older!

I'm not really sure I understand your question? Do you mean older than god?

If so then I have to assume you think God is 6000 years old because creationists claim the Earth is that old. If that indeed is the case then all I can say is, the bible does not say God is 6000 years old. It implies God has no age and existed always.

Maybe you started from a false premise?

Yes, we've been refining the age of the universe and the Earth as we learn more. 100 years ago, we didn't have a good estimate for the age of the universe. Then Hubble came along, and after him, COBE, and then WMAP. We're constantly refining our knowledge. But although thinking the universe is 10 billion years old was wrong, and thinking it was 6,000 years old was wrong, they are certainly not wrong by the same degree.

It's because it's not older. Whoever told you that doesnt know a thing. God has no beginning and no end.
