My computer is infected by virus. How can i know that which virus infected my computer. i want to know the virus name. is it possible. i scanned the computer but antivirus didn't show any virus but still getting msg abt virus. pls help me. Wht i do?

Try spysweeper. It's not free but it's very effective for me. It save me twice from formating my pc after failing to remove the virus with avg, spyware doctor and ad-aware.

Please make sure that you always get the latest version of antivirus. Update your antivirus software regularly. Usually the latest one has the name of the latest virus. If not, try to notedown your pc's symptom and check it out at the web at www.techonthenet.com or some web page known as expert exchange something like that.

if your getting this as a pop up message while surfing the net, then it is bogus, its made to look like a real warning so you will go to the site and buy there product..
if your anti virus didn't show nothing then your probably clear
but also try pcpitstop.com
its free and will show if you have ad ware as well

Where are you seeing this message? Sounds bogus, to me. Some antivirus programs misdetect some legitimate files as being viruses.

I think your computer has a trojan file which is not that easy to remove and not all antiviruses remove that .
if you are using windows xp , first let me know which file systems do u have (ntfs ot fat)
if your boot partition is fat let me know.. i have a solution.

go to temporary internet filesand delete all cokies.
then search in "find" in start for virus.
it will definetly show up.
