Just to remind you: its that movie where something is wrong with the planet's interior so a bunch of scientists travel inside the Earth to fix the problem. This movie is just full of bad science. In your opinion, what is the most implausible part?

I would say that the most impossible part is when they enter the giant geode. If they were heading towards the center of the earth than when they entered the geode they would enter at the top and fall probably for hundreds of miles and die on impact. Also Giant Geode though a cool thought yeah right.

Throughout the entire movie, the people are inside a long cylindrical tube. They walk as if the tube is horizontal. However, it is actually vertical. Several times the show the tube going straight down, and then cut to an inside shot in which it appears that gravity has turned 90 degrees.

how bout the fact that they try and dig to the middle of the earth? that alone defies description
