i'm planning on buying 2-3 playstation 3's on the 17'th.... how long will i have to have them on ebay until the bids hit $1200 or higher? Will they even get that high? will the same thing happen as did last year for the 360 considering that the 360 is now in stores for 400 and last year the 360 had no competition?

The prices will for sure be over $1,000. The PS3 costs more, so it's guaranteed to be higher. Plus, more people are waiting for this system and didn't even bother with the 360, and Playstation has around 70% of the market share.

Put it on eBay with a reserve price...this will help you to get what you want out of it and maybe more if people are so willing.

I doubt they will go for $1200 or higher on Ebay. People who use Ebay, use Ebay to find good deals. But if the price starts to get too high people back out and they won't bid. It's as simple as that.
