If n doesn't have to be a nonnegative integer the sequence doesn't have a first number. Can n be 0? If so, the sequence goes -4, -7, -10, .... If n is a positive integer, then it's -7, -10, -13, ....

substitue the n with three numbers that are one after the other. Example sub n for 99, 100, 101, but not 2, 39, 99.
