What are those called? i've seen em on the mountain before but when i can't find em to purchase online. Instead of hooking to from the binding to the boot it goes from the binding to a velcro strap around the leg. Do they go by a different name? Google or ebay 'snowboard leash' i dont see any.

thanks

It's called a crappy one.
I wouldn't trust the velcro if it comes to needing what the leash is actually intended for. A good leash is one you dont really see.
For Der man- like the other response, one that is visible is more likely to get hung up on something.

It's called just that... a snowboard leash. The type you describe just happens to incorporate velcro in its use... I have one like that.

And to the guy that wrote a good leash is one you dont see: I wasnt aware that a snowboard leash was bad because it was "visible"... does that imply that it'll work if it's "invisible?"

Snwbrdr96: I stand corrected... good call!

Try searching for Surf and Snowboard accessories.

its called a snowboard safety leash, but u shouldnt buy the one that goes around your leg cuz, A)it looks stupid and B)chanses are that it'll get stuck somewhere (in a tree) and ull get injured. it happend to a friend and he had hes knee twisted.
