I know it's no ones buisness, but It's just a curiousity,- I heard it's illegal for them to tell their workers their "payrate/salary/etc."-is that true? & why?

It could be because of three reason:

1) They have low salary which they prefer to hide
2) As per their contract, they are not allowed to speak
3) They have a ego and dont bother to discuss these stuff wth junior

i don't comprehend of a regulation prohibiting such recommendations from getting out, even though it easily does not build an particularly solid environment and would reason discrimination (exceedingly if somebody there is paid comparable or much less and feels slighted). that's an argument for Human materials to handle.

from what i was told ,your not suppose to discuss your wages with other managers or employees is because it causes alot of problems as far as why do they make more etc.because believe it or not there are people that have been working for years and probably make less then new employees , why ?i dont know could be cause there friends or family thats my guess .

They should not be telling people OTHER people's payrate - that's nobody's business but the person receiving it.
