There is a guy and a girl. I'd say middleaged by can't quite recall (this was on a movie or tv).
The guy says something then the girl replies, "Who," or something like that (sorry on being so vague).
The guy says "They did(/said/something)"
The girl looks at him and says "They sure do say a lot of things."
I think the girl was reading a book, or she might have been studying.
I forget things easily, but when I remember only parts it drives me nuts.
There also might have been a romantic element to the guy & girls relationship.
Thats all i've got.

Thanks for that. Quite funny since I saw it just yesterday.
Once again, thank you.

Its from Pulp Fiction. Mia and Vincent are eating at Jack Rabbit Slims, and Vincent had a question to ask Mia after she was finished "powdering" her nose. He brought up the topic of why Tony Rockyharra was thrown a building. She asked him who said this, and he said "they" she responds "they talk alot huh"! I dont know if this is exactly what you were looking for, but that definately fits with the dialogue of Pulp Fiction!
