Actually you see a lot of numbers during the day however you only pay attention to numbers which are repeating like 10:10 or 11:11.

I love repeat numbers, to me, they are lucky number, and you should know that in chinese, number 8 is lucky, so with the total $ 88.88 , to chinese, it is good, repeating numbers do not creep you out, you are just overreacting.
and time is changing every minutes, you should not stare at the clock and wait until it turns 11:11 or 3:33, you should know what the max min is 60, it only creeps you out when the clock turns 6:66

The real reason is your mind only remembers the times. If you were to take a log of all the times you looked at a clock you would find it to be random. When your total at the store is 3:95 you don't remember it like when it was 3.33.

It's a type of bias, and now since you've started noticing it distinctly it'll appear more.
A while ago I noticed that I always checked the time at 11.47pm, it still happens but you shouldn't let it creep you out.

i guess you're mathematical-minded! that happens to me aswell, for example when the time is 3.14 then i start thinking about pi etc, lol sounds really stupid i know! but i was reading an article in the paper a while back and it was saying something about people who notice such things are talented in mathematics. take it in a positive way! its a good thing! =D

Look for patterns and you shall find them. I do the same thing find stupid patterns in numbers but that will always happen. Have someone randomly right numbers i bet you can find a pattern and some patterns are so simple subconcusly we look for them.

What compelled you to put this in math?
Anyway, you are only noticing it because it is distinctive (selection bias). You are experiencing the effect described here:
