i don't think pretty females have lower self esteem than the average female. the average female would have lower self esteem because they're the ones that want to attain the beauty portrayed in the media (mags, tv, movies).
BUT, that's not to say that pretty girls don't have low self esteem. they can be really hot, but they can still have issues about themselves.

It depends whether the girl has increased better in looks than earlier. If she has, then it will take a while to build her self esteem up. She needs men & WOMEN to say that she is good enough with out the looks as well. I think that most average looking women have high self esteem and talk alot more to women.

I would guess that most females have some sort of self esteem issue, whether or not they think they are pretty or if people think they are pretty....Our society has really ridiculous beauty standards so you could be a supermodel and think low of yourself because you still think you "can never be as beautiful as...."
But, keep in mind that self esteem is not just linked to beauty, there are other issues as well...

People have told me Im pretty my whole life but I think I used to really have self esteem issues. But now that Im older I can see beauty and have learned to accept how i look. Im sure pretty girls have low self esteem alot of the time because it seems that pretty girls put down others alot which is a huge red flag.

Isn't it amazing to see what sides of people this question brings out? I also agree with a comment I saw... It's relative to the person...I hate to say it but you just cannot ever get an answer to this. Whose idea of pretty is it? Yours, America's, India's? What is pretty in one place, is not in another. A woman I see as incredible and breathtaking may only be average to you. I feel that I am very pretty & have great self esteem..... I like to keep myself up in a certain way and that doesn't mean that I feel I need makeup or have to "try".. I just like to for myself. And I think you'll also find in all walks of life ..... beautiful women that just do not see what the rest of the world sees in them... average women that think life would be easier just to be prettier... so back to square one... its all relative.

I don't think so! That sounded so wrong! I think pretty females have too high of self-esteem. Most of all, they can be so rude and mean and they always get away with it because of their pretty face!

Well if the girl is pretty she might even think to highly or big of herself. well im not that pretty so iguess i cant answer your question honestly.
