Look at a blank piece of white paper or light-colored blank wall.
Hold your hand over the
left eye, and look with the right eye at the blank paper/wall. Repeat
with the right eye covered and the left uncovered. If your vision has spots, darkened areas, or strange colored areas in either eye, consider going to the emergency room for an examination.
Specifically, have someone examine your retinas.

Rough weekend huh? Give it a few hours & try to get a bit of sleep. The flashing lights will go away eventually.

They are right, you do need to be evaluated by an Opthamologist. It is possible it is a symptom of some condition that needs to be addressed before it progresses. Don't freak, it is possible it is nothing, but best to have a Medical Doctor check your eyes.

Go to an eye doctor...there are a lot of causes for impaired vision or the flashes that you described.

Call your eye doctor. You may be experiencing retinal detachment or other problem with the retina. It is serious. Please call your doctor or triage nurse. Make sure you get a second opinion, if you have any doubt.
