I maybe way off, but I take it as a relationship coming to and end, that the dust symbolizes that its been to long and the relationship is dry....

and that maybe its just to much of a fight, and the relationship meant well, but just isn't going to happen.

I really don't know, its hard to understand, but that's what i gather
