I would like to build a strawbale home for under 10,000 is it possible?

I think strawbale homes are fascinating! I would love to build one, but my husband doesn't think the same way I do -- I'd like to just build a strawbale wall for my garden to see how it would affect the microclimate. Maybe this is something you could try.

There is an association for straw bale houses in Texas. I'd be a bit worried about the humidity and the bugs. But here's the site:
