The animal with the longest tail is the giraffe at about 8 feet, however the diplodocid diplodocus dinosaur had a tail that was about 45 feet long.

In proportion to body size, a lemur has a very long tail. I imagine a whale would have the longest tail overall.

Giraffe is the answer,my dad and mom and i went to Manila zoo on Philippines i saw a enormous Giraffe do you know how big its tail is more than a 10 foot tall !

Don't know if you want to count this, but a thresher shark has a very long tail fin. Some accounts of threshers having tail fins up to 10 feet long. Of course, you know fishermen and their stories.

maybe those animals that have the long tails with the stipes on them. i forget what they are calle but they are long long tails.
