When he realizes that his team still sucks with him averaging 20. He only averaged 27 the year before last and their wins went up when he averaged 35.4. The amount of wins have more to do with defense and how the rest of the team plays then whether he's averaging 30 or not. Remember Jordan lead the NBA in scoring when he won 72 games but the team was scoring too. The ideal situation would be him leading the NBA in scoring and his team scoring big at the same time. I'll admit Kobe's not the best team player but what would make the most sense is just to feed him in the post for turn arounds at let him average 30-33 and limit some of his super difficult shots that lower his fg%

Kobe will score big points as soon as the Lakers hover around .500 again. I don't think that Phil Jackson wants to do that, so the 30+ games a night are over for Kobe, in my opinion. Kobe is not Michael Jordan. When Shaq left, Kobe's "posterization" of players and driving the lane became almost nonexistent. Kobe has small hands (unlike MJ), which means less ball control, and more jump shots. Kobe's shooting % with Shaq as opposed to without him, is almost 2% lower. Keep in mind that Kobe's best year statistically was not last year. It was in the '02-'03 season. Again, if the Lakers want to win, Kobe cannot avg over 30 a game. He is not Michael Jordan. In Jordan's prime, which means excluding his last 2 seasons with the Wizards, his FG% was OVER 50%. Even when you count the Wizards seasons, his FG% was .497 for his career. Kobe's FG% without Shaq is LESS THAN 45%. The last thing about Kobe. When he tries to become a passer, like he did in his first season without Shaq, his Turnovers SKY ROCKET! Look at that the '04-'05 season. And look at this season. He almost has as many Turnovers as he does assist. The last thing about Kobe. In his entire career, he has never had a 2 to 1 Assist-to-Turnover ratio for an entire season. Kobe is a great player, but he's slightly overrated.

Kobe Bryant has been quoted recently by some sports scribes as only being 75%. Maybe when he strengths his surgically repaired leg, you may see him score more points.
However, with the Lakers having some success playing team basketball, Bryant need not score so much. If he were in full strength, I see his average per game increasing to the neighborhood of 27 points per game (PPG) from his current 21 PPG.
Hope this helps.

Hopefully never. The team is much better when more people are involved. When he scores bunches of points, the rest of the team tends to just watch.
