Before computers came information on many subjects were not readily available to all people equally.
Now sites like wikipedia give full information on most of the topics
You are able to clear your doubt and get guidance from many people in yahoo answers.
Man has always been curious to know how people lived in other parts of the world. People like Columbus, Marco polo and Vascode gama had to travel for years to get information/find what they were looking for. Now from your home you can wander ac cross the globe and over the space or under the sea to know what is happening there.
All these factors have changed the world as more and more people become computer users.
