Its really quite simple. You have a house or building, you get a meter. The meter gets read from month to month. From the reading, they can calculate your usage of the past month. Price is set per kilowattage used. Multiply the usage times the price, add taxes, levies , other municipal fees, and Viola ! here comes your electric bill.
