Are they insecure about their own sexuality?? Although I dont believe homosexuality is right I wouldnt ever disrespect or hurt anyone for it. Why so much hate? I dont get it... its racism in a different form! Why not just respect their choice? You cant force anyone to do anything. This world is sad... Would you kill your daughter if she were a drug addict? You would still love her?

I used the drug addict thing as an example to show that people wouldnt dis-own their child (some would) or want their child to be treated unfairly, it was in no way meant to be what some are making it... Maybe it was a bad example Chill out!!!

I think it happens for two reasons: 1) Most people are afraid of things that they don't understand and 2) a great many people in our society are so confused by the Puritanical beliefs inherent to many religious systems that they are afraid of their own sexuality, and are ill-equipped to deal with someone who does understand it, gay, straight, or otherwise.

Some view homosexuality as a contradiction of nature and therefore strongly disagree with the practice. Because many people are ignorant or angry, their view point is voiced in a hurtful and sometimes vulgar or violent manner.

where did the drug addict thing come from? thought this was about gay people?..anyways..most people aren't open minded enough to respect other peoples wishes if they are not what they are used to...why care what people do behind closed doors...maybe they had a lisp as a child and it triggers bad memories

I agree with you 100% I think is because of peoples insecurities so they feel that they have to hate that person because of the way they are it is the same thing as racism it just has to do with orientation.

i think people do it cause they are not comfortable with themselves. or there afraid, for what reason i dint understand. my friend (male) makes rude comments, nasty comments all the time about gay people. he is afraid of them, so he makes fun of them. its wrong, and its rude. i think people should grow up, and live there life, not spend there life hating so many people for so many stupid things. and yes i would still love my daughter if she was an addict, or if she wanted to be with a female.

They do it because they enjoy feeling superior to others, and unfortunately they can often find a willing audience because there are so many who feel that way.

You are right. It is insecurity or fear usually, sometimes I believe it is deeper than that. Maybe something about themselves that they don't want to admit. And yes, no matter what, I love my children and accept them.
