Are you the type that desires the consolation of loved ones after a personal tragedy, or do you prefer privacy?

Privacy, but everyone is different. If you have experienced a personal tragedy its better to keep your privacy at a minimal though. If you cut yourself out from the world it can be unhealthy.

When I faced this, everyone who claimed to be longtime friends suddenly disappeared, so I learned and go tused to being alone with my own situations. I think that no matter what a person prefers, the Friends should be available whenever they're called on. Sometimes, as little sense as this might make, you need someone there with you but in complete silence.

I go through both. In the first few days I want to be consoled, then I prefer to be alone for quite some time.

A little bit of both.

I don't like not talking about the person who died-- then it feels uncomfortably as though they never were, as if they are a taboo subject. I think I would prefer to remember the loved one with everyone else who loved that person, and to reflect on that person's life with those who knew them.

a nice mixture.
i want to know that the people i love care about me and want to make me feel better.
but i also sometimes need a little time to myself, maybe to cry a little, or to just think it all through.
