How often have you received answers on here that ignore the clearly intended question and address errors in your questions, real or imagined, big or small?

I once asked a serious question on what the British REALLY think of their royalty, and all that came back was America/Bush bashing. I never to my knowledge said anything bad about the British OR the royalty, rather just asking, but got plenty of defensive hate replies instead.

I guess it just goes to show how people percieve things differently. Although you may have typed your question in the way you thought, it came across differently to others, as there's no emotion to go along with the question, so they interpret it as they see fit.

If they're correcting your typos, then they have WAY too much time on their hands and should be looking for their degree to be school teachers, instead of answering Yahoo questions.

I've never asked a question, so that hasn't happened. But in all fairness, if you're typing with a ridiculous number of spelling and grammar errors, typing in caps, or doing some sort of stupid leet or online crap lingo, then you should expect to be ridiculed and corrected.

I haven't asked enough questions to have it happen to me, but I have read enough answers to be annoyed by it. I sometimes am annoyed enough to "thumbs down" the answerer!
