You're a bleeding looney!
Find that remark offensive? If not, you probably need to seek help.

Absolutely you are NOT hearing VOICES!! What you are doing is what everyone does. We all hear the thoughts in our heads as they process what we hear and see on a daily basis. Where the problems arise is when we start to listen to them as if they really mean anything! WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE? That is what you have to decide.
I believe our mind is like a monkey in a cage and we have to control it or it will control us. Have you ever seen a monkey in a small cage? It cannot sit still. But, you can train it to stay calm with a few simple drills.
Learn to concentrate for a few minutes at a time. For instance have you ever tried to count backwards from 100? At first this can be very difficult, but that is exactly why you should do it. Do anything that will take your mind OFF from your dead frinds or whatever it is that bothers you. There are many things that you can do to take your mind off unpleasant things.
Read the bible and memorize passages, or read poetry and memorize passages and repeat them at night. Count from one to five and back again, do anything to keep that monkey from jumping around in it's cage. Keep your mind concentrated on one thing and tell everything else to KEEP OUT! You will soon learn to keep your mind as your own and not to let these other thoughts to interfere with your life. IT IS UP TO YOU TO DO IT!

i dont think that it is hearing voices, first of all i am one of those people who dont believe it till i see it so as for the ghost question. If i believed in ghosts i dont think they can hurt you so no need to be scared of them they are presumably just lost souls.....it sounds like you have had a lot of tragedys lately that are weighing heavy on your mind....you should probably find ways to deal with these issues during the day...ie, talking about it with close friends or family, also consider that ( i dont know the people that have passed, but) your friends that have passed are in a better place and are at peace and would probably like to know that you are living your life and not stressing yourself out thinking about them....you might try some relaxing techniques like taking a long hot bath or meditating, or maybe instead of remembering thier deaths, try thinking of the good times and how they would want you to remeber them.....i dont know if you believe in God or not but instead of trying to deal with these problems by talking to yourself which probably get you nowhere you should talk to god about them....put it all in his hands and have faith in him and all should be better......i understand when you have a lot of stuff going on in your life how hard it is to not think about things.....but you cant stress yourself out and loose sleep over it........it will never benifit you in any way....there is nothing wrong with talking to youself, but if you know the answers then why are you asking yourself the questions????? The only way i can go to sleep sometimes is i have one little "fantasy" that i think of everynight in my head,,,i refuse to think of anything else when i am going to sleep.....just replace these negative thoughts with good thoughts and after that nice hot bath you should fall right to sleep.....good luck and God Bless....

The standard 'hearing voices' relates to hearing voices from other than yourself . . . speech or communication that is NOT originating from you.
Hearing your own voice doesn't count.
Also, I think of my friends that have passed on, death is a normal part of the life cycle, not really scary, nothing wrong in thinking about friends here or the ones that have gone . . .
AND ghost fright ? have they done bad things to you before ? why the fear ?

I find talking to myself normal , i have talks with myself many time , but i also have found that every time i take my own advice i get in trouble , so I'm to the point that i think that my voice is out to get me , and is going to steal my soul and leave me here with no one to talk to, so talk to the voice, and be nice cause it could steal all you stuff while your at work and you come home to no one to talk to and all you stuff is gone . and nothing stinks more then having voices going Thur your personal things and taking all the good stuff and leaving the crap behind for you , so on second thought toss that soul sucking stuff taking voice out of your life while you still can ....i have to go now my voice is calling .

Nahhh....i wouldn't consider that insane at all.....i know how ya feel about having a hard time falling asleep, i have a very active imagination, so when i read or play halo b4 bed i start thinking about it to much and well sleep is hard to come by.....you may have add or adhd, those types of disorders will keep you from concentrating on your task at hand, and keep your mind very active all the time...

i still say no.
you might want to write the things down that you're thinking of and wont get out of your head, sometimes jotting it down relieves your mind of it.
or perhaps you NEED to think of these things a little. like maybe you havent thought on it too much because you were too sad and wanted to avoid it.
Don't worry, it's possibly an overactive imagination. or perhaps your sub-conscious has all these thoughts and is trying to push it to the front of your mind, but you are consciously trying to avoid it.

no its not hearing voices, its just plain talking to yourself. You should think about getting some counseling to help you cope with some of this..

Just say "Jesus you are here with me. You are protecting me. I need not afraid of anything. I know you crushed Satan's head on the cross. He has no authority over me".
