Think of the last time you went to a drive-in theater. What bugged you about being at the drive-in? Noise? Other people? Poor quality? Poor food? Exhaust? Grainy quality? Fog? Would fog keep you out of going to the drive-in? What's the max you would pay? What did you dislike about going to the drive-in?

I haven't been for quite some time, either, but the sound quality used to be a pain - now they can broadcast and you pick it up on your radio, right?

Heck, the bad food and other people are part of what makes it fun! As for how much I would pay...

Well, I'd love to get in for a good price, especially compared to theatres. Maybe I'd pay up to $8 for an adult (maybe - I don't have much to base this on), with $10-$15 for a car load. That's a BIG maybe, and I'm basing it on seeing two movies that I like.

And would fog keep me out? Probably a good possibility if it happened beforehand and was pretty thick. Unless, of course, I was going to the drive in with no intention of watching the movie.

Damn, I haven't been to a drive-in since the early 80's. I loved the drive-in. Fog and rain sucked but you could bring you own food, drinks, you could smoke, you could talk without annoying others, you didn't have to listen to other people talk, etc. They don't make "drive-in movies" anymore. To me the most appropriate drive-in fare are exploitation pictures, cheap horror movies, soft-core sex films, etc. It doesn't really seem fitting to see mainstream, big-budget Hollywood films at the drive-in. We used to pay like $7 (sometimes only $5) per carload. You got double features, triple features and sometimes even four "dusk til dawn" films. I miss my old drive-in. They tore it down and built a multi-plex in 1984 :(.

I love going to the drive-in. I actually went a few months ago. The only things I found irritating were the morons in huge SUVs and trucks parked in the middle rows blocking everyone's view. Other than that, I think drive-ins are a great experience!

The last time I went to a drive-in, the thing I hated the most was the movie. It was A Star is Born, the remake with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. Man, it was awful, and I thought it would never end.

Last time I went to a drive in, the thing I hated most was being outside, but having to stay in the car for a looooooonnnnnggggg time.

I was five, it was Forest Gump, and I entertained myself by putting a doll's head up to the light in the car and looking through it.

The last time I went to a drive-in (and the only time) was when I was about 8... but I remember that when the movie first came on, you couldn't really see it because it wasn't dark enough.. and I couldn't hear it very well either. Even so, I loved it!

I liked the good old drive-in theaters, and miss them. But having said that, it was hell when it rained, it was too cold in winter, and it was too hot in summer, because you had to have the window slightly open for the speakers. You could not keep the car running for heat or aircondition because of the smell and it used too much gas.

Last time was in Iowa about 1997. My only complaint would have been the food so we brought our own.
