Hi!
I'm Norwegian and I live in Oslo.
I've lived in a lot of places around the world, but Norway is one of the best and safest places. We were just ranked the best countries to live in for the 4th year in a row by United Nations a couple of weeks ago.
Norway is a very rich country (because of the oil) and the health system is one of the best in the world. If you get sick, you don't have to pay. You'll get treatment.
Sure it's cold here in the winters, but the summers are so beautiful! You should try it sometime!!

It s very expensive, cold, rugged mountains broken by fertile valleys, boring, politically correct, men get drunk while women gossip in another corner, far from everything, but if you like nature, skiiing and salmon, why not especially if you can grasp a bit of the Government Petroleum Fund, which is invested abroad and now is valued at more than $250 billion, i.e. approximately the same amount as one year of GDP. But mind the post-petroleum era, the times may be hard for little Norwegians and they soon may knock at the door of the European Union that they snobbed in 1994.

Scandinavian international locations certainly don't have a "lots greater uncomplicated of residing" than in the U. S.. particularly the different, the U. S. has a notably greater GDP consistent with capita than any Scandinavian united states. As for the layers of subsidized amenities, those are extreme priced, and Scandinavian taxes are outrageously extreme to pay for them, that's one reason it may suck to be a Scandinavian. All subsidized government-provided amenities come on the cost of non-public freedom, so i does not be bragging approximately how lots you have. approximately 2 years in the past an American author residing in Norway wrote a column in the manhattan circumstances. He became into mystified that Norwegians habitually claimed to be the richest human beings in the worldwide, whilst he knew in any different case, and to his American eyes they have been residing in close to poverty. those politically superb lists of "maximum livable" places for sure could desire to be bothered with a grain of salt. in case you may not quantify it, it is merely one opinion. besides, in united statesa. we've Texas. i don't see no Texas in Scandihoovia.
