If you want to get over a broken heart you must stay away from that person.I have an ex and I had a picture of him the operative word HAD a picture of him and I kept hanging on to him because the more I hurt is the more he looked good.I missed him more by seeing him and trying to be friends too fast then I recognized that I was making excuses to see him and I stopped.I completely avoided him yes it brought him to him feet begging me to take him back but by then I was strong enough to know that I didn't need him in my life tro live. You should avoid that person at all cost, go somewhere to treat yourself and get properly rested instead of what most people do by rapping themselves into work. You should go somewhere that would take your breath away and would totally motivate you no matter where or what would relax you do it.Then you can take some time to yourself and do some self searching to find what type of person you want in your life. The last step is when you have given yourself enough time to heal because believe it or not time is a great teacher and a great healer, then you can go into a new relationship.Right now it might seem as though it is the worst thing in the world but after a while things would fall into place and you'll see what God has in store for you and I'm sure its something better. If it were destiny you would be with that person today. Think about it...

I feel your pain man. I just got out of a 9 year marriage. I'm trying my hardest to stay busy. If your living in the same place, and she left, I would try and find a new place to live if possible. My wife left me, and I'm stuck in the same apartment that we have lived in for the last 2 years. I have no way of moving out, and it is really making it hard. I know that new friends, new places will help mend the broken heart. I know your pain, good luck with this down the road. Just remember one thing, other people are going thru the same thing as we are.

You never will mend a broken heart. You may tuck away the pain but it will come out in some way, shape or form. Try to move on. Try to talk to people and keep your mind occupied.

Broken hearts suck, and I know it is hard to move on, but moving on is what you have to do.
Get out and explore your community--find unusual and different things to do, such as go to a coffee house, or take classes in pottery, or join a poetry group (even if your not into poetry). After my ex left I discovered there where all kinds of things in my community that I had no idea existed, and all kinds of people out there. Not everything I tried did I do again, but I have met many interesting people and it has helped.
Good luck-my thoughts are with you.

time is a great healer. Be patient and things will get better, new opportunities will arise until this heartbreak becomes part of your past. Look to the future. Seek Gods will for your life. Some things arent meant to happen for us even though we feel like we want them so much they are wrong for us.
Just around the corner may be your dream partner - someone you cannot compare to anyone else. Just don't give up.

Talking it over and crying to a friend who truely will listen. Start talking to friends and going out a lot. Whatever you do try not to spend weekends, holidays alone. Go out with friends, family and have fun. This will ease your pain and take your mind off the pain slowly. Don't let your heart bleed it is too precious!!

The pain will go away eventually. You will get through this. I take it that she left you. Sometimes we do see it coming so that helps us to prepare, but when you don't it is heartwreching. I would say a prayer to get her back if you feel she is worth it. I think that you seem like a loyal guy who she took for granted. You will move on, and you will meet someone better for you.

Not ready to let go? That's entirely up to you on how you want your next few days months to go.....one day at a time it isnt a surety the pain will go but the memories will fade and it will be easier if you tell yourself, it's over...there's nothing left to do but move forward without that person. Wish them happy things and smile and it will help you to smile 24hrs at a time. Peace.

Time dude, time. I'm in the same boat right now, brother, but it was totally my fault. The worst part is, I'm not feeling sorry for myself, I can't believe I was so stupid as to hurt this person the way I did. If I was her, I'd probably never want to speak to me again.
Time, brother, Time. Nothing else works.
