Don't push yourself, let your creative juices flow natuarally. Your ideas will come on there own if you are that creative. Give it time and look around yourself and your community I am sure there must be something of interest you will find there to get on a roll again.

I have found that I get the most satisfaction from writing about things that I know. You don't need to name correct names or places, but perhaps something simple that you found some humour in. You can write about it, and by sharing it with someone, you get to experience it all over again as well as the satisfaction that you feel knowing that you brought some humour into what may have been an otherwise dismal day to another. Try it, you may enjoy it. It does seem as though writing is your forte. Best of Luck!

try getting a thesaurus and replacing words with other words, instead of saying the water was cold, you could say "this wet substance felt brutal to my skin", you know? Also try expressing your feelings in the form of an event that has happened, like, "When you left me you broke my heart" to "you happened like a fall season, full of force and mayhem that I felt inside I would never recover enough to enjoy another "(a new relationship), Try that. I have some stuff posted on poetry.com but I dont think that I could come close to whats up there now. So try that.

Hey, once a month is not bad. Just be sure you finish it.

You could join a critique group, and get hints on how to write better -- and you can help others write better too.

Also, check out the Jennifer Crusie website, where she talks about using collages to help her write her stories. She was an art teacher, and it's amazing the way she combines art and her books.

Here's her essay on it:

You can be creative with anything. Don't force yourself to be creative though.
