9. Odysseus was disguised as an old man. He shoot an arrow through a number of rings (i don't know how many for exact) and proved his excellence in archery. Only a man like Odysseus could do that.

10. His son Telemachus was on his side. I don`t know if any others assisted him.

11. Penelope kept her expectations livened but didn't reveal any one.
