There are no cheat codes for Halo, and the Halo2 sword glitch mentioned by the other guy, won't work if you go on Xbox live and get the Halo 2 updates.
However, even without cheats, there's a lot of cool stuff you can mess with, like invisibility, etc, that you get from finding Skulls.
Go here and look around.. there's tips / tactics / tricks / stunts / glitches / etc with full sxplanations in video / text and screenshots.
Again, be sure to check out the skull database on this page, assuming you have Halo 2. If not, there's plenty of material on Halo 1, but no skulls.

in halo 2, have a rocket launcher and a sword. zoom in on an enemy and make sure that the crosshare is red, swich really quick to the sword and the second you have the sword out swing it and you will be flying thourgh the air toward the enemy
