i have a headset for socom us navy seals pt 1, how can i tell if other people online can hear me when i talk?

there are no buttons on my headset etc .. (mute or volume)

When you talk, your name appears on the screen in one of the bottom corners.

ask. On the tv does it show a headset? When you push the talk button does it light up ?
