no beach sand has germs and tiny organisms that will kill goldfish if you want sand go to a pet store for it dont take it right off the beach and use it

no. i think that would be a mistake because it has a lot of germs. if you want sand you should go to a pet star an d find some that has been cleaned.

I probably wouldn't, and if you do, it has salt and that can kill your li'l fishies... if they're freshwater fish. I'd buy the rocks at a local pet store or hardware store, but be sure to clean them very well with ONLY water! NO soap or other cleaners 'cuz that can, again, kill your cute li'l fishies.

it debends on weather it is fresh water or salt water sand... don't use salt water sand will kill fresh water fish... also you want to clean the sand by boiling it.. to kill and and little critters that might be living in the sand.......

I wouldn't, unless you can find a way to sterilize it. It should be full of bacteria, not to mention salt.
