USC is currently ranked #3 in the BCS. There are five possible different scenarios for who plays the winner of the Ohio State vs. Michigan game.

1. USC wins out, beats Cal and Notre Dame.
2. The winner of the SEC championship game advances to the number 2 spot, either Florida or Arkansas.
3. Nebraska wins the Big 12 Championship game and somehow slides into the 2nd place slot.
4. Notre Dame wins out including a big win over USC and takes the spot.
5. Ohio State loses in a close battle against Michigan and only drops one spot back to the #2 slot.

The next few weeks will be crazy.

They are ranked 3rd in the BCS (and in most other polls as well). For them to get in the BCS, Ohio State needs to destroy Michigan, or Michigan needs to destroy Ohio State. If either team wins on a last second field goal, they might not drop below any other team, because they are already so far ahead. Michigan is .9 ahead of every team except Ohio State.
