I have a house bunny. He's super quiet, doesn't smell and is potty trained. He's real sweet, likes to snuggle and I just put him in his cage when I leave he house for a while. He doesn't seem to mind. A house rabbit is a perfect pet for a quiet, no smell cuddly pet! And he likes to play (mostly tag)

Let's see...a small lizard, such as a Schneider Skink or Leopard Gecko.
Rabbits/guinea pigs/ferrets may be too big for the dorm, I'm unsure of that.
I'd consider re-considering the concept of a rat as a pet. They are great.

a million) maximum school dorms forbid pets. 2) you're the two going to be too busy analyzing or partying to handle a residing, respiratory animal that desires you to stay to tell the story. you won't be able to pass out someplace and anticipate your puppy to be healthful and chuffed once you return back. 3) in basic terms losers desire props to get laid. 4) in basic terms losers are inspired by ability of somebody's puppy. Please do not stress some harmless animal to deal with your stupid shenanigans. Get a puppy once you have graduated and have the time and funds to shelter it.

Fish are great, easy to take care of... most dorms actually allow them. Or you can just chase the squirrels on campus--all the fun of a pet without the work!

I have to say, I was a student and found it hard to do all of my work and keep a pet. I would recommend a fish or a few fish to start. Just to allow yourself to adjust to having a pet while working at school.

Try betta fish. They don't take up much room and are very easy to maintain. They are also some of the most intelligent fish and they are beautiful. Don't get a goldfish unless you want to start an aquarium because they cannot live on bowls without a filter and air pump.
Hermit crabs, african clawed frogs, african dwarf frogs, fire bellied toads and small lizards are easy to care for and are easy to maintain, also. Always to a little research on what you decide to get and if you think you can care for it properly.

Get some of those glass fish. The ones with the glass ball that floats on top of the water, with the fish dangling below it.
You won't even have to remember to feed them.

Guinea pigs. And no they are way different from hamsters. They're very easy to take care of and are the best of friends.

Get a small 1 gallon tank, and you can get a betta, or some tetras, or even a couple small crabs or ghost shrimp. All fun and easy to take care of.
