I DON'T JUST WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IPOD AND THE ZUNE IF YOU HAVE OTHER PLAYERS THAT YOU LIKE AND REASONS FOR IT PLEASE SAY SO.

-thanks

zune!!! it have ever thing that ipods lack and toshiba is a more trust worthy company than apple.
others:
sony, philips and samsung for great mp3s with killer sound quality.
recomanditions:
1)meizu mini player:The nicely designed Meizu Mini Player has a large, bright display and offers a variety of desirable features such as video playback and an FM radio; good sound quality. Overall, this flashy import (which should be in the United States shortly) is a decent alternative to the iPod Nano (it costs less for more features); those who like to throw video and OGG into the mix should definitely consider the Mini Player, which seems to have excellent support behind it.

2)Samsung Yepp YP-D1 :The Samsung Yepp YP-D1 has been greatly overshadowed by Samsung's own Yepp YP-Z5, but it's not without its merits. With up to 2GB of on-board flash memory, this cell-phone-shaped MP3 player (price still being determined) has an integrated camera/camcorder similar to the ones found on many cell phones. The D1 can play video, but the low frame rate and small screen make for an eye-straining experience. The D1 also lacks PlaysForSure compatibility, though its audio and video format support is fairly broad. Good battery life, very good sound quality, and tons of features make this an interesting, if slightly gimmicky, player.

The new ipods have excellent brighness, a wealth of music format support, great battery life, and are sleek and stylish. That being said, their video support is poor, their screen is a bit small. Their software (itunes) is superb, and their music store is incredibly intuitive and easy to understand.

The zune has a large screen, a sleek look, a nice rubberized feel so you dont have to worry as much about scratching, and excellent features. The wifi is a bit hindered, but overall its not a horrible idea for a start. Their store is going to be absolutely terrible. They will force you to purchase several dollars worth of points in order to buy a song, rather than just charging you per song. They do not support windows drm format, and have their own special zune drm. it's a bit bulkier than the ipod and its been predicted that it will be a tremendous flop by some and an ipod killer by others.

Overall, I would wait on the zune and pick yourself up an ipod this time around. By the next round, it will be much more clear who has the better mp3 player.
